Brucite is a scarce mineral. Recently visually stunning examples of yellow Brucite were discovered in Pakistan. Previously Brucite was found in blue, white and green colors at other locations. Bright yellow specimens are considered the finest. We were lucky to acquire this piece as part of a ‘lot’ at a great price and are happy to pass our savings on to you.

Brucite is the mineral form of magnesium hydroxide, with the chemical formula Mg(OH)2. Brucite was first described in 1824 and named for the discoverer, American mineralogist, Archibald Bruce (1777–1818).

Brucit ist ein knappes Mineral. Kürzlich wurden in Pakistan visuell beeindruckende Beispiele für gelben Brucit entdeckt. Zuvor wurde Brucite an anderen Stellen in den Farben Blau, Weiß und Grün gefunden. Leuchtend gelbe Exemplare gelten als die feinsten.
