This is a smaller iron meteorite from the Campo del Cielo fall in Argentina. The fall was first reported to the modern public in the year 1576, however the meteorite is estimated to have entered the Earth's atmosphere and crashed to the ground approximately 5,000 years ago.

In total, 100 tons of this meterorite's fragments have been recovered including this piece! The largest single fragment of this meteorite weighs approximately 30 tons.

This iron meteorite is strongly magnetic. Iron meteorites only make up 5% of all meteorites that hit earth. Making iron meteorites somewhat rare!

We guarantee this to be a real iron meteorite!
