This is a beautiful high quality piece of charoite. Came from a lapidarist jewelers estate. Looks like he was making jewelry from this block. Its a great looking specimen for display or crystal healing or you can cut for jewelry!
Charoite K(Ca,Na)2 Si4 O10 (OH,F)•H2O is a rare silicate mineral, first described in 1978 and named for the Chara River in Siberia Russia. Charoite can be translucent to opaque lavender to purple in color with a pearly luster. Sometimes charoite is chatoyant!
