Description

This beautiful pyrite specimen from the famous Hunzala Mine, Huallanca District, Ancash, Peru acquired its shape through natural cubic crystallization. It is not cut or polished. Pyrite (FeS2) is an iron disulfide that crystallizes in the cubic system. Pyrite is a very common mineral throughout the world, but it is very hard to find perfect cubes in the size, perfection and luster as those from Navajún. Ideal for interior designers looking to add color or texture to a project or for collectors. This piece shows natural striations on many of the cubes!

Pyrite is said to be a powerful protection stone which shields & protects against negative vibrations and/or energy, working on the physical, etheric, and emotional levels. Pyrite is also said to inspire the universal energies to activate the nourishing energies of the body.
