Calcite is the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃).  It appears in many different colors including red, green, blue, orange, yellow, honey, pink, white, and banded.

Red Calcite is associated with the Crown Chakra and Root Chakra, and the Fire Element and Wind Element.  Some believe that it energizes the base Chakra, and brings forth additional prana or life force.
