This is a very rare stalactite formation, where two inmineral straws in developed from a water drip, grew longer and thicker over the years, grew towards each other at the middle until they attached. Then conditions must have changed and the two straws grew apart from each other, till conditions changed yeat again causing them to grow towards each other a second time. Then finally attaching to create the final shape of this stalactite. I’ve never seen any photos of a formation like this before.
Photos show both sides and closeups. I rescued / purchased this from a furniture and garden rock importer in the early 1990’s. This item was originally imported from Java Island, Indonesia. One of a kind item.
