Blue Green Turquoise in Matrix Rock.
These pieces were purchased from the estate of a lapidarist – jeweler. We tested this material with acetone and also with a red hot pin to verify it is not dyed material or plactic. This material was confirmed as turquoise. It does NOT appear to be stabilized. It is sold not chalky.
Turquoise is an opaque mineral that occurs in beautiful shades of blue, bluish green, green, and yellowish green.
