#TC8 3 Pieces Light Blue Green Turquoise

here we have 3 beautiful pieces of turquoise we acquired from a lapidarist's estate. It is light blue green. We are unable to identify where this turquoise is from but probably china. These would be great for a lapidarist to finish. They show saw marks on them.

We wanted to verify this is not dyed, so we tested it with acetone. No color came off of any pieces. We wanted to verify this is not plastic, so we heated a metal needle till it was red hot then touched the pieces to see if they melt. It did not effect them at all. Just to make sure we did melt some other plastic we had, to make sure it was hot enough. We destroyed a piece to confirm no color changes inside. We performed a Mohs hardness test. These pieces fell into the hardness range of turquoise.

So our conclusion is that this is turquoise that has been stabilized. We priced it so you can buy it without any risk and have some fun with it!
