For a change of pace, we’ve created a poem in our favorite fantasy epic style about one of our favorite crystal – quartz! Enjoy!
Quartz: The Quiet Crown
In craggy caverns, cold and clear,
Quartz lies quivering, quaint and near,
Cradled calmly in cobalt clay,
Guarded greatly from gold and gray.
With gleaming glints, it glows so pure—
A silent sentinel, strong and sure.
Born of burrowed, burning breath,
Where fire fuses frost and death,
Quartz is kin to molten might,
Forged in fissures far from light.
Time’s tender touch and titan’s tread
Carve crystal crowns for mountain bed.
Fair folk favor its flawless face,
Wizards weave it with well-wrought grace.
Deep in dwarven halls it lies,
Starlit shimmer in stone-struck skies.
Lore-laced light within it flows,
A charm ‘gainst chaos, change, and woe.
Gem of the gate and guardian true,
Tower tokens and sword-hilts too,
Shadows shy from its shining sheen,
A flame for fates that few have seen.
Rings revere it, rods obey—
A silent spell in silver-gray.
So let the legends softly say
That Quartz shall quietly keep its way.
While kingdoms crumble, kings decline,
Still shall this steadfast stone outshine.
Thread of time and earth entwined—
A gift of nature for those who find.
