Cobalto Calcite

A beautiful, rich pink to purple and occasionally peach color distinguishes Cobalto Calcite, a relatively rare form of calcite where cobalt replaces calcium in the mineral. It is usually found in Zaire, Morocco & Italy. Examples found in Spain are often of gemstone quality.
